Parents Are The Team!
No program can exist without the parents. We want parents to be involved. These are your kids, not ours. The more you understand the benefits of acrobatics for your kids, the more you will want to support the program.
Acrobatic gymnastics as a competitive activity can be an expensive undertaking. If your child is learning well and gaining skills quickly, it will be natural for the coaches to move them up. However, both partners need to have the same goals. These goals are best worked out when the parents understand the cost. The cost is more than finances, although that can add up quickly. It is also commitment. It is friendships. Friendships not of just the athletes, but of the parents. The best pair/groups often have both partners who are friends, but parents who are friends.
This part of the website is meant to be a resource for parents. Of course, all the website is a resource for parents. We encourage you to look at the coach and judges material, as well. But here, is a section for parents alone. To help build this section, all parents involved are encouraged to write the webmaster for ideas on additional topics. All such input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
