These are some books that I had found on the
internet several years ago. The websites that had
them are no longer online. The books were
photographed as either jpegs or gif images. The
text for the books are legible. Two of the books
have their text in German. One book was set up as
an HTML page with gif inserts. All the books are
profusely illustrated, and from them I have gained
many of the illustrations used for this website. If
you have a dial up connection it will take several
minutes to download.

All the books are compressed with Win Zip. You can

USSAF Acrobatics
File size: 4 MB. This book used to be the USSAF
Table of Difficulties. It broke up skills by an
"A", "B", and "C" difficulties. Dr. Criley had this
on his WAIKIKI ACROBATIC website, which seems to be
offline now. The book is all illustrations, with no
text. Dr. Criley once told me that the figures were
drawn by a German artist. It would be great for
USAG Acro to reuse these illustrations in their JO
Program. Black and white line drawings in JPEG
format.

Creating Gymnastics Pyramids and Balances
File size: 1.9 MB. I don't remember where I found
this book. It, too, is filled with illustrations,
but also has some text. Many gymnastics style large
pyramids, as well as cheerleading style pyramids.
Black and white line drawings in GIF format.

Hollywood Stage Tricks
File size: 3.1 MB. Older book printed in 1957 of
Vaudeville type acro stunts. Chair balancing, etc.
Complete text also discusses stage and theatrical
productions. Excellent for exhibitions and Group
Gymnastics. GIF images of text and illustrations.
Illustrations are photos and line drawings.

Acrobatik
Files size: 1.5 MB. Michael Blume's "Acrobatik" is
a German book. The text is there, but all in
German. Illustrations are both photos and black and
white line drawings in GIF format. Even if you can
not read the text, the illustrations are worth
collecting.

Turneninbeeld
File size: 11 MB. This will take awhile to download
with dial up modems. Another book in German.
Illustrations are both photographs and black and
white line drawings. I cleaned up and straightened
the gif files, and removed the html files that it
used to come with. Hugo, if you are reading this,
please forgive me. If anyone is willing to
translate the book into English I would be
delighted. The book is an educator's text on how to
train gymnastics European style. It includes acro
and gymnastics. It also has training tips and
techniques along with conditioning with stall bars,
medicine balls, and other strength circuit ideas.
Many partner stretches, too.
